Liberals & Violence
Unfortunately for the liberals out there, the United States regime has been an arena for political violence since its birth. It is a nation-state founded upon political violence and it is maintained by political violence.
What I think should be remembered is that the violence of the nation-state is downward, upon the wage slaves and discarded folk. On the other hand, political violence of the oppressed, the folk, is most often upward, onto the oppressor, or at least upward onto the system. Political violence against a Mussolini-type, or any king or dictator or fascist, is not twinly to the political violence against MLK, indigenous freedom fighters, and revolutionaries like Fred Hampton.
Abandon this notion that violence is universally good or bad, and examine the context in which it is used. Who is doing violence? What does "violence" mean to the oppressor and the oppressed? How were they violent? Why?
